How credits and plans work
Flow has one free way to start and two paid things you might meet later: a subscription plan for Flow itself, and the Gyanis Credits (GC) wallet used across Gyanis products. This page explains each one in plain words.
Free credits: how everyone starts
Create a Gyanis account and verify your mobile number, and your free credits switch on. No payment card is needed. Marketing pages call them free tokens; inside the app they are labelled free credits. They are the same thing.
Free credits are a one-time allowance, shown in the app as the percentage you have left. They never expire, never reset and do not refill each month, and a mobile number can claim them only once.
The supported study tools share the same allowance: asking in Chat, creating drills, mind maps, papers and plans all draw from one pool, so you decide where your free start goes.
When free credits run out
Flow tells you clearly when your free credits are used up, and everything you made stays readable: your saved drills, maps, plans and conversations remain open to you.
To keep asking questions and creating new work, choose a plan on the subscription page. A student under 18 sees an Ask a parent step instead of a checkout, so a parent or guardian chooses the plan with them.
Paid plans
A Flow plan is bought for your own account, with the current price, any tax and the total shown in your local currency before you confirm. Plans have their own usage limits, shown inside the app as you use them.
A plan does not renew automatically: it is a one-time payment for its period, and you choose again when it ends.
Students at a participating school may not need a plan at all: an institution can provide Flow seats, and the app then says access is provided by that institution.
Gyanis Credits (GC): the paid wallet
Gyanis Credits are a paid wallet shared across Gyanis products, and they are separate from your free Flow credits. GC is used for Vibe expert sessions and Aura coach bookings, which are priced separately, and for some Flow extras such as additional Arena papers beyond your plan's usage.
You are never charged GC silently: any separate GC charge is shown before you confirm it.
Credits and plans questions
- How do I get my free Flow tokens?
- Create your Gyanis account and verify your mobile number. Your free tokens appear as free credits in Flow, ready for study questions, practice and other supported tools. No payment card is needed to start. A mobile number can claim the free allowance only once.
- Do my free tokens expire?
- No. Flow free tokens have no expiry date and no seven-day countdown. They are a one-time allowance that decreases as you use supported tools; they do not refill each month.
- What happens when my free tokens run out?
- Choose a Flow subscription to keep asking questions and creating new study work. You can still open your saved work. Paid plans have their own usage limits, with current prices shown before checkout.
- Are free Flow tokens the same as Gyanis Credits (GC)?
- No. Free Flow tokens are the study allowance labelled free credits in Flow. They are separate from the paid GC wallet used for Vibe expert sessions and Aura coach bookings. Those sessions are priced separately.
- How do I see how much I have left?
- Flow shows your free credits as a percentage left, in the usage widget in the header and on the plan page. Paid plans show their own usage the same way.
- What does a Flow plan cost?
- Prices are set per market. The current price, any tax and the total are shown on the plan page and again before checkout, in your local currency.
- Do students at a school need their own plan?
- Not necessarily. An institution can provide Flow seats to its students and teachers; the app then says access is provided by that institution. Anyone can still buy a personal plan.
