1. Purpose

Gyanis Flow helps students understand, practice, and plan their studies through tools such as Chat, MindMaps, Drills, Gameplan, and Pulse. It uses AI responsibly to personalize learning while protecting privacy and academic integrity.

2. Information Collected

In addition to the data described in the main Gyanis Privacy Policy, Flow may collect:

  • Study Inputs: Prompts, notes, and text entered by users to generate explanations or mindmaps.
  • Learning Data: Practice attempts, progress scores, completion streaks, and feedback interactions.
  • Device Information: Browser type, device model, and activity timestamps for performance tracking.

3. How Data Is Used

  • To personalize learning recommendations, generate concept maps, and track progress.
  • To help students and teachers view study analytics.
  • To improve the relevance and clarity of AI-generated learning content.

4. Safeguards and Controls

  • Study inputs, answers, scores and chat messages are never sent to advertising or analytics tools. What those tools do receive is set out in section 6.
  • Data generated in Flow remains linked only to the user’s Gyanis account or, for school users, to the school account.
  • Students can delete chats, drills, mindmaps and other content they created from inside each Flow tool, or by contacting support@gyanis.ai.

5. Children and Young Students

Many Flow users are school students under 18. We use a student’s date of birth, or their school grade when we do not have one, to tell whether they are under 18. A student whose age we cannot place is treated as under 18.

  • For students under 18, the analytics and advertising tools in section 6 are switched off inside Flow.
  • Depending on the law where a student lives, some features can need a parent’s or guardian’s approval first. When approval is needed, we ask the student for a parent’s or guardian’s email address, send that person a link to approve, and keep those features locked until they do.
  • A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct or delete their child’s Flow data by writing to support@gyanis.ai.

6. Analytics and Advertising Tools

We use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to count visits and to measure how our advertising performs. We do not show advertising inside Flow.

  • Where they run: on our public pages (such as the home, features, FAQ and about pages, and this policy) for visitors, and inside Flow only for teachers and other staff accounts and for students we know to be adults.
  • Where they do not run: inside Flow for students under 18 or students whose age we do not know. Once we know a signed-in student is under 18, they stay off on our public pages too.
  • What they receive: the address of the page you are on, technical details such as your browser, device and IP address, and an identifier stored in a cookie. Meta also receives a copy of each page view from our servers. They never receive your study inputs, answers, scores or chat messages.

7. School Accounts

When used through a school, Flow operates under the school’s data processing agreement. Progress summaries may be shared with teachers as defined by that agreement.

Across all Gyanis features:

  • We do not sell personal information. The only information that reaches advertising platforms is described in section 6.
  • Parental approval for young students works as described in section 5.
  • All content generated or uploaded remains under user or school ownership, as defined in Terms of Use.
  • Users may request deletion or correction of data by contacting support@gyanis.ai.
  • Data security measures include encryption, access control, and continuous monitoring.

8. Legal and Regional Compliance

Gyanis complies with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and other data protection laws that apply where you use our services.

Users have the same rights described in the main Privacy Policy: access, correction, deletion, restriction, and portability.

For complaints or grievance redressal, contact support@gyanis.ai.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update these product-specific policies from time to time to reflect new features or regulations. The updated version will be published on our website with the revised effective date.

11. Summary

Gyanis Flow, Aura, and Vibe are designed around one shared principle:

“Technology should make students smarter, not more vulnerable.”

We collect the minimum data necessary to personalize learning, protect it with strong safeguards, and give students, parents and schools a clear way to see, correct or delete it by contacting us.
